Spring, 2017 marks the first accredited course at Phillips State Prison. After four months of completing applications, gathering documentation, preparing for and taking the GSU entrance exam, the men are now Georgia State University Panthers: thanks to a partnership with Perimeter College, Georgia State University.
In Fall 2017 we hope to offer our first accredited college math course. When not writing papers or reading Victor Hugo, the men are spending every available minute reviewing Algebra. Special thanks to John Bell for his dedication in helping the men reclaim math skills.
In Spring 2017, Bill Taft will teach English 1101, the first accredited course through Georgia State University (Perimeter College)
